The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, occurs each year on the 15th day of the 8th month in the Chinese lunar calendar, and it’s on Sep. 10 this year 2022. This is one of the most important traditional festivals in China, where families get together to enjoy the long weekend together.
Although our official office hours will resume on Sep. 13, we wanted to remind our readers that we’ll be closed on Sep. 10-12 due to this holiday and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you during these days.
The mid-autumn festival is a traditional Chinese festival. In China, it is a holiday and it’s also known as the Moon Festival or Lantern festival. It is a time for family to get together and enjoy each other’s company. Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations are all about enjoying life with family and friends under the moonlight. With these festive foods such as glutinous rice balls wrapped in bamboo leaves, chicken cooked with soy sauce, and dried fruit like chestnuts, or Moon Cake. People will have a great time celebrating this special occasion!
In Western countries, Overseas Chinese around the world will be celebrating together with their family and friends.
To celebrate this great holiday, we have three days off starting from Sep.10 to Sep.12 due to the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday notice.
